This guide is for users who already have authorized access to one or more AI services or API aggregation services and want to compare responses in CoModel.

Choose a compatible request protocol

Select a native option available in the app or use a generic Chat Completions-compatible or Messages-compatible interface. Implementations can differ.

Enter the endpoint and model identifier

Use the base URL and model identifier supplied by your service or API aggregation service. Obtain API keys lawfully and follow that service's terms, privacy policy, and usage rules.

Test every feature you intend to use

Run the connection test, then verify streaming, attachments, usage fields, caching, and other required features individually. A successful connection does not guarantee every feature.

Your connected service sets the operating rules

Availability, rate limits, regional access, billing, data handling, and content policies are determined by the service or API aggregation platform you configure. CoModel does not proxy model requests or provide unlimited inference.

Open CoModel, add a new service entry, and enter the API key, endpoint, protocol, and model identifier provided by your service. Run the in-app connection test to verify your setup before relying on any workflow.

What should I do if the connection test fails?
